Matthew 5:31-32 part 2
Feb 15, 2026 • Pastor Joseph Hearn
Marriage was never meant to be disposable—it was designed to tell a greater story. In this message from Matthew 5:31–32, we see that Jesus speaks about divorce not merely to address human relationships, but to reveal His own covenant love for His people. Through the lens of Scripture, we are reminded that Christ is the faithful Bridegroom who does not abandon His bride, but pursues her, sacrifices for her, and gives His life to make her His own. This sermon calls us to see marriage as sacred, covenantal, and ultimately a living picture of the gospel—one that points us to the unwavering love and faithfulness of Jesus Christ for His Church.
