Matthew 7:6

Sin distorts our vision. It causes us to see the speck in our brother’s eye while ignoring the plank in our own. Jesus calls us to see clearly—to see ourselves honestly, to see others humbly, and to recognize when the precious things of God are being trampled. But the greatest vision we need is not simply the ability to see people clearly; it is the ability to see God clearly. We cannot change hearts. We cannot force repentance. We cannot make someone value the pearl. But we have a Father who can do what we cannot. So when wisdom tells us to stop speaking to someone about God, we never have to stop speaking to God about them. Vision: Matthew 7:1–6.
